Burn Law Coming into Effect for Warren County

Fire Marshal Gerry Maiatico of Warren County Fire and Rescue has notified the public that the 4 p.m. burn law will be in effect starting Thursday, February 15th.
The law states that there will be no burning after 4 p.m. if the burning takes place within 300 feet of woodland or grass brush leading to woodland. The fire must also be attended at all times within 150 feet of a woodland or grass/brush leading to woodland. Additionally, no fuel may be added to any fire, and fires may not be rekindled after midnight.
This law applies to camp fires, warming fires, brush piles, household trash burns, or anything else capable of spreading fire.
