Handley High School Coach Accepts College Position

Handley High School Head Football Coach John Davis has accepted a coaching position with a college in Newport News Virginia. 

Davis will be joining the staff of The Apprentice School, which is part of the Independent United States Collegiate Athletic Association. The Apprentice School is a collegiate-caliber trade school focusing on 25 skilled trades. Students there work 40 hours per week in addition to their schooling, and are immersed in computers, technical math, drafting, naval architecture, marine engineering, business processes, physical science and technical communications.

Working at the Apprentice School has been a goal of Coach Davis’, also a kinesiology teacher, for years. He will be departing for his new position in March.
