10 July 2018 News

John Handley High School is hosting the International Education Resource Network, otherwise known as iEARN, this week.

The conference is an opportunity for students and teachers to network, connect, and collaborate on projects that take action on global issues. More than 400 educators from over 50 countries come together for the event. According to reports, among those present are students from India, Egypt, Argentina, Rwanda, Morocco, and even a Syrian refugee.

Projects in the conference have included an investigation into students’ local water system, as well as the raising of $700 toward a sewer system in Africa. The event began Monday (07/10/2018), and will come to an end this Friday.
