21 April 2017 News

2017 Big 12 player of the year, 2017 National College Player of the Year and First Team All American, Frank Mason III will return to Woodstock’s Massanutten Military Academy tonight. The school is set to retire his jersey during a 7pm ceremony in the Memorial Gymnasium.

Mason just finished his career at the University of Kansas where he earned multiple awards throughout his four years. Originally from Petersburg, Va. There he played basketball for Petersburg High School. He is the school record holder for second most career points. NBA Hall of Famer, Mosses Malone holds the record for most points scored.

Mason signed to attend Towson University his senior year. However he found his way to Massanutten Military Academy after losing his eligibility due to failing government. During Mason’s time there he would be offered a scholarship by the University of Kansas.
