FCPS Equipped with COPsync911

As made possible through a partnership with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office, every Frederick County Public School has been equipped with COPsync911, for the upcoming 2017-2018 school year. The system will be activated in the event of an emergency. Once activated, COPsync911 notifies the 911 dispatch center and the closest law enforcement officers at the same time which allows officers to arrive at the scene sooner. The system also enables the school to have real-time, live communication with law enforcement and the dispatch center. COPsync911 operates the nation’s only law enforcement real-time, information sharing network.
