Trial Date Set for Six Strasburg Fire Department Members

13 January 2018 News

The six members of the Strasburg Fire Department who are accused of contributing to the delinquency of a minor are scheduled to go on trial April 5, 2018. This was announced Thursday (1/11), when Judge Kevin Black also expanded the language of all six charges to read, “contributed to the delinquency of a minor or engaged in consensual sex with a child aged 15 or older that is not a spouse, child or grandchild.”

The Strasburg Fire Department released a statement Wednesday that each of its accused members was put on administrative leave as soon as the department learned the details of the case, and that one of the six was already no longer a member. If found guilty, the accused each face up to a year in jail and/or a $2,500 fine.
