Warren County Fire & Rescue Accepting Applications for Citizens Fire Academy

Warren County Fire and Rescue is now accepting application for their 2017 Citizens Fire Academy. This is a free, no cost, seven-week program targeted toward adults in Front Royal and Warren County. Academy participants will receive an insider’s view of the Warren County Department of Fire and Rescue Services. Each night, program participants will learn about a different aspect of the Fire and Rescue Department ranging from emergency medical services and fire suppression to becoming a trained volunteer or career firefighter. Each participant will gain an understanding on the requirements in becoming an emergency responder in our community, receive hands on experience in emergency operations and receive valuable fire and life safety information to protect their family and home.
The Citizens Fire Academy will meet one evening a week, on Thursdays, for three hours per session for a total of 21 hours. This program is free for all participants and is designed for citizens and employees of Front Royal and Warren County over the age of 18.
