Winchester Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrests

On Friday, February 9th, Winchester Police officers conducted a traffic stop on East Tevis Street and identified the driver as Morgan Helm of Mercersburg, Pennsylvania. There were two other passengers inside the vehicle, Jaron Carey and Elijah Splatter, both of Winchester. Officers learned Splatter was wanted on a probation violation. After taking Splatter into custody, he was found to be in possession of marijuana and a white powder believed to be cocaine.

Morgan Helm was charged for being in possession of marijuana that was located inside the vehicle. Both Carey and Splatter were also charged for distributing narcotics as a result of a previous investigation conducted by Drug Task Force Agents.
