Old Buildings to Come Down in Strasburg
15 July 2017 News
Two old buildings in Strasburg are going to be torn down this week.
The Brill’s Grocery Store building and the old taxi stand in Strasburg are set to be demolished at 7 a.m. Monday.
Kee Construction is overseeing the demolition project. The town had originally bought the buildings in hope of restoring them. But town officials soon concluded that bother buildings had structural defects.
Some parts of the old buildings are being salvaged, however. For example, the Brill’s Grocery sign is being saved. Asbestos has been removed recently from the structures, according to town officials.
