In education news, the National School Public Relations Association has awarded Frederick County Public Schools a Golden Achievement Award for their 2018, 101 Community Engagement Program. The Golden Achievement Award is one of the organization’s top awards and recognizes exemplary work for all aspects of school public relations, communication, as well as marketing and engagement.

School resource officers with the Stafford County Sheriff’s office were among those being recognized at the Youth of Virginia Speak Out About Traffic Safety awards banquet on Wednesday June 20th. The organization honors schools, students, teachers, and law enforcement officers who demonstrate efforts encouraging safe driving and passenger safety among teens.
