House of Hope’s Empty Bowl Supper
9 February 2018
We were in the studio today with Arline Link from The Kiln Doctor & Tom Howarth, board member for House of Hope to talk about their Empty Bowl Supper fundraiser happening on Thursday, March 22 from 5pm – 7pm at Front Royal Fire Department.
Arline told us of her need for volunteers to come by her shop to paint the bowls that will be given away with a ticket purchase to the event. She estimates that 200+ bowls will need to be painted prior to the event and invited the community – and non-profit groups such as Girl Scouts, church groups, etc. – to come by for a few hours and decorate the bowls. There’s also still a need for donations for their silent auction. You can contact Mary Anne Biggs at 540-636-6753. You can download the flyer with all the information here: Empty Bowl Supper 2018 Flyer
Tom gave us some insight into the House of Hope program, it’s participants and talked about the importance of fundraisers such as these that allow them to continue to provide existing services and potentially expand those services as well.
