Tourism Tuesday: National Sheepdog Finals

11 July 2017

Every week we go county to county talking tourism and this week we were in the studio with my favorite tourism guy Justin Kerns from the Winchester/Frederick County Convention & Visitors Bureau and he let this show go to the dogs … in a good way!! We were joined by Linda Tesdahl, Tom Wilson, Peter Hall, Stacey Payne and Kristen from Belle Grove Plantation to talk about the 2017 USBCHA National Sheepdog Finals.

On September 26th through October 1st, the finest sheepdogs and handlers from across the USA and Canada will come together in Middletown, VA to compete for the title of National Champion.

Get the  details about the trials, and final competition days including a list of vendors, food partners and other activities and demo(s) happening during the event on their website: www.2017usbchanationalsheepdogfinals.com

You can also participate in a fundraiser on Saturday, July 15 at 11am with a special showing of “Babe” at Alamo Drafthouse. Get those details by clicking here.

For a full list of the events Justin mentioned on the air (but didn’t have time to share details about) visit: http://www.visitwinchesterva.com/events
