Redbud to Hold Town Hall Meeting for Church Proposal

Blaine Dunn, the Frederick County Supervisor representing Red Bud, will hold a Town Hall Meeting on Saturday, February 17th, at 10 AM. The meeting will be located in the Greenwood Mill Elementary School Community Room at 281 Channing Drive, Winchester, VA 22602.
The main purpose of the meeting is to obtain input on a proposal by St. Paul’s Episcopal Church to build an affordable housing unit behind the church. Those living near the church and along Senseny Road will be affected, an are encouraged to voice their opinions on the matter.
Dunn also plans to discuss the upcoming budget, including the School Board’s Comprehensive Investment Proposal of $259.3 million in the next 5 years to address school construction and renovations. The immediate issue is the proposal to build a replacement for Robert E. Aylor Middle School for $52 million. The budget also needs to address fire and rescue personnel requests to meet safety needs.
The meeting will serve as an opportunity for citizens to voice their own concerns as well; residents of Red Bud and Frederick County are encouraged to attend.
