Locations from the Shenandoah Valley Region have been included as part of a new Virginia History Trails smartphone app.
A product of the Library of Virginia and the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities, the application covers landmarks that span 400 years of Virginia history, including 20 themed trails and 400 detailed site descriptions. Among these are several locations in the Shenandoah Valley area. Featured sites from Winchester include Mount Hebron Cemetery at 305 East Boscawen Street, the Patsy Cline Historic House at 608 South Kent Street, and the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley at 901 Amherst Street. The Clear Brook Welcome Center on Interstate 81 is also viewable on the app, as is the Berryville Historic District and Belle Grove Plantation near Middletown.
