Stephens City Shop ‘n Save to Close
13 February 2018 News
According to reports, the Shop ‘n Save on Fairfax Pike in Stephens City will close in early March.
This development comes from officials of the store’s parent company, Supervalu, which acquired the location in September of 2016. Supervalu spokesperson Mike Wilken was quoted as saying that the closing was a result of the store’s upcoming lease expiration, which caused the company to take a closer look at the location’s viability. There are no immediate plans to close any other locations in the area.
The Stephens City Shop ‘n Save employs around 30 people, and Wilken said that the company is working to build a list of open positions at other locations where these employees might apply; these positions, however, would not be guaranteed.
