Winchester Driver Killed in Four-Car Collision

14 February 2018 News

According to reports, a driver was killed on Va. 37 in a four-vehicle, chain-reaction crash.

Paul Douglas Grammo, 52, of Winchester, was killed after stopping his 2008 Chevrolet sport utility vehicle traffic at about 5:25 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13th. Grammo’s vehicle was stopped because of another crash that had occurred on North Frederick Pike and Apple Pie Ridge Road; he was not wearing a seatbelt when a 2011 Chevrolet Impala driven by Winchester resident Todd Daniel Shenk, 55, rear-ended him.

Shenk was charged with reckless driving, and state police spokesman Sgt. F.L. “Les” Tyler has been quoted as saying that he and the other two surviving drivers involved in the four-car collision were hospitalized at the Winchester Medical Center. Their current condition has not been disclosed.
