A Pennsylvania hang glider makes an emergency landing near Front Royal

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office reports a hang glider had to make an emergency landing near Front Royal.

The incident occurred Sunday morning in the 9,000 block of Winchester Road.

After leaving Gettysburg Pennsylvania the unidentified hang glider lost his updraft causing the emergency landing into to trees in a field.

The man was unharmed and had to carry the remains of his glider out of the field in pieces.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office reported the incident to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
