ACSO make an arrest in a stabbing incident

Augusta County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) announced an arrest in the stabbing of a person in the 2600 block of Stuarts Draft Highway.

Joshua Ray Meadows has been arrested and is charged with malicious wounding in the incident and is being held without bond.

The 26-year-old Meadows had order a pizza by delivery and was not satisfied when it arrived.

The restaurant employee who delivered the pizza told Meadows to call the store after the manager arrived at 4 that day.

A 56-year-old male employee of the restaurant followed Meadows to the parking lot and was stabbed repeatedly in the leg.

The unidentified victim was transported to Augusta County Health by ambulance.

Authorities who acquired Meadow’s location through the business that delivered the pizza was arrested shortly thereafter.

Authorities continue the investigation as they have received two conflicting statements from the two males involved and are reviewing video footage of the altercation.
