Agencies announce major traffic disruption on Feb. 14 and 15

Agencies announced that they are prepared for major traffic disruptions in Warren County on both February 14 and 15 as Norfolk Southern conducts repairs.

First Route 624 or Happy Creek Road traffic will be disrupted by train crossing maintenance on February 14 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. at Shenandoah Shores Road.

The work is expected to cause major one day traffic disruptions for Shenandoah Shores, Christendom College, and businesses on the Route.

There will be no traffic during work on Wednesday, February 14 at the train crossing.

Warren County Agencies announced plans in place for the closure.

Fire and Rescue will have additional personnel stationed at Shenandoah Shores Fire Department from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Front Royal Police Department and Warren County Sheriff’s Office will have personnel and vehicles in the area for the same time period.

Warren County Public Schools have contingency plans in place should the work go beyond the scheduled time affecting the release of students.

Additional rail work will take place affecting the Route 647 624 intersection with detour signs in place again from 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
