ALDI Grocery opens for business Thursday in Front Royal

28 April 2016 News

WARREN COUNTY, Va–Despite early, driving rain, huge crowds jammed ALDI aisles Thursday morning to celebrate arrival of the grocery chain’s environmentally and price-friendly shopping to Warren County.

ALDI’s opened for business in the Riverton Commons Shopping Center just north of the I-66 interchange at Route 522 at 9 AM.

The German-based grocery chain founded in 1946, features exclusive use of reusable bags; self-bagging; and a quarter deposit on shopping carts that is returned at check out. Savings generated through such material and employee cost reductions is then passed on to customers.

The River 95.3 will be broadcasting live Friday from Noon–2 PM at the new Front Royal location.
