Applications available for TVRC Community Leadership Program
A minimum of 25 participants who either reside or work in Clarke County, Frederick County or Winchester City will be selected for the program that will run from September 2020 until May 2021. Through the program, participants will develop skills and have access to resources needed to provide leadership in order to address community needs.
Once-monthly sessions are led by a combination of community leaders, professional facilitators and specialists in the respective fields. The program is designed to provide insight into the challenges and opportunities that exist in Clarke and Frederick counties and in Winchester. Topics covered include but are not limited to: leadership and teamwork, agriculture, education, health care and public safety.
Mandatory attendance at each monthly sessions is strictly monitored and enforced. Because of the required time commitment, the support of the participant’s employer is essential.
Graduates of the Community Leadership Program will receive a certificate of accomplishment and admitted to the alumni association, which provides regional organizations with a pool of individuals who are qualified to fill leadership roles necessary for the development of the community.
