8 February 2019 Winchester Frederick County News

An armed man broke into a Frederick County home early yesterday (2/7/2019) morning and assaulted a resident.

The 24-year-old female victim woke up shortly after midnight when she heard loud banging on the front door of her home in the 100 block of Williamson Place. She told responding Frederick County Sheriff’s Office deputies that when she went downstairs to investigate the noise , an unknown African American male carrying a handgun forced his way inside and struck her several times in the face and stomach. During the assault, he told the victim that he was there to collect money her brother owed him.

The suspect is described as being 5’8” tall and weighing between 200 and 210 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to contact Sheriff’s Office Investigator D. Bursey at 540-662-6162.
