Arrest Made in Front Royal Church Burglaries

Front Royal Police Department has made an arrest in relation to several church burglaries that occurred earlier this month. Chief Kahle Magalis announced that William Roy Foster, 53, of Front Royal has been arrested and charged with several counts each of Breaking and Entering, Possession of Burglary Tools, Larceny, and Trespassing.
Chief Magalis indicated William Foster was arrested following an in-depth investigation over the past several weeks conducted by the Front Royal Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division. Saint John’s Catholic Church, located at 120 West Main Street had reported burglaries on both Wednesday, December 6th, 2017 and Monday December 11th, 2017. A bronze box was stolen during the December 6th burglary and a safe with an undisclosed amount of money was reported missing on the December 11th burglary. In addition to the Saint John’s burglary, The First Baptist Church, located at 14 W. 1st Street, also reported a burglary on the morning of December 11, 2017.
Foster is currently being held at the Rappahanock Shenandoah Warren Regional Jail. Anyone with additional information regarding the burglaries are asked to contact Detective Marc Ramey at (540) 636-2208.
