Auditing of voting machines begins
Local voting machines are being audited in each of Virginia’s localities to ensure that all machines accurately recorded the results of the Nov. 6 presidential election.
Frederick County will conducts its audit today Feb. 23 at 5 p.m. in the Board of Supervisor’s meeting room.
Where the audit is open to the public COVID-19 restrictions are in place.
Both Winchester and Clarke County will conduct their audits at 10 a.m. Thur. Feb. 25.
These audits of voting machines is something the state has done since the Virginia Department of Elections and General Assembly created the code in 2018.
