Authorities Locate Missing Person in Mountain Falls Park

The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office and North Mountain Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department worked for several hours Saturday (8/10/2019) to locate a missing person.
North Mountain Fire was alerted to the missing person in Mountain Falls Park that afternoon, and the Sheriff’s Office requested one of their utility task vehicles in order to access remote search areas and cover more ground. Operating from a command post located at the Mountain Falls bus stop, teams worked together for around two and a half hours before locating the subject, who had a minor injury that was treated on scene. In all, personnel from Company 19, the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office, Fairfax One, multiple SAR teams, and community members worked together to resolve the situation.
