Authorities seek information in a teacher misconduct case

Fauquier County Authorities report that a former theatre teacher and tutor in Fauquier County has been convicted of two counts of carnal knowledge and two counts of indecent liberties by a custodian.

Kevin Nathan Mettinger also worked at Huntington Learning Center and Allegro Community School of Arts as well as being a private tutor.

The investigation began when a family reported possible inappropriate contact with their child at Mettinger’s home.

While authorities investigated that report they uncovered an additional victim and believe there could be others.

Authorities are asking anyone with any information involving any other victims to contact the Warrenton Police Department or Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office.
