Ben Cline receives Republican nomination for 6th Congressional District
U.S. Congressman Ben Cline announced he received the Republican nomination for the 6th Congressional District of Virginia, which includes Page, Shenandoah and Warren counties. Congressional elections will take place on November 3. As the deadline to file for the Republican primary passed yesterday, incumbent Cline was the only candidate to file paperwork. Cline filed nearly 2,500 signatures, over twice the required minimum number of 1,000 signatures.
Cline stated in a news release, “While our country is going through these tough times, campaigning will take a back seat for the time being as I work to ensure Congress takes the proper actions to get America back on track.”
