Berryville Shop ‘n Save to Become Martin’s
7 November 2018 News
Giant Food Stores made the announcement yesterday that it would buy five Shop ‘n Save locations across Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. This news comes months after company Supervalu announced in April it would try and sell its corporately-owned Shop ‘n Save locations along the east coast in response to pressure from investors. It’s recently closed all five of its Shop ‘n Save stores in Winchester and Frederick County.
This Clarke county location is located at the intersection of North Buckmarsh Street and McNeil Street in Berryville. It’s unclear when exactly the space might become a Martin’s, but the Shop ‘n Save will have to close for a period of week or two as the transition occurs. Current Berryville Shop ‘n Save employees will be able to apply for a job at the new Martin’s.
