Board awards contract for superintendent search
20 January 2020 Front Royal/Warren County News
During a regular work session last week, the Warren County School Board awarded a consulting services contract to Real Synergy LLC for the school division’s superintendent search.
The $11,000 contract allows Real Synergy to provide services for Warren County Public Schools, including developing a superintendent profile, reviewing applications, doing preliminary background checks on potential candidates, and being present for all interviews of potential candidates.
The school board originally issued a request for proposals for consulting services of the superintendent search on Oct. 25. The board received nine proposals on Nov. 15 and interviewed two firms, including Real Synergy, on Jan. 6.
The school system is seeking a new superintendent after former Superintendent Greg Drescher retired in early January. Melody Sheppard is serving as interim superintendent until a replacement is found.
