Charleston Police Department (CPD) report the investigation into the death of a Falling Waters woman.

The body was found on the Northside of Greenbrier Street approximately twenty yards from the road in Charleston, West Virginia.

The body was found and reported by a work crew back in February.

After the body was taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office DNA identification was made.

The decedent was identified as 31-year-old Tamber Bernelle Johnson of Falling Waters Berkeley County West Virginia.

According to the Panhandle News Network family of Johnson told police that the last they heard she was in Florida and rarely contacted them, so they never reported her missing.

At this time in the investigation authorities do not believe Johnson was the victim of foul play as there was no bruising or broken bones.

Authorities learned just last week that Johnson had a residence in the Dunbar area at one time but was known to be transient.

Authorities only just opened the investigation after learning her identity and are asking anyone with any information about Johnson to call the CPD at 304-348-6480.
