Body of missing Frederick County woman found near Romney

Around 6:45 Tuesday afternoon, Frederick County Sheriff’s Office investigators, the West Virginia Department of Natural Resources and the Hampshire County (WV) Sheriff’s office recovered what is believed to be the body of Peggy Sinclair. The 85 year old Sinclair is the woman who has been missing from her Frederick County home since Saturday, and was the subject of a multi-county search in Virginia.
Her body has been transferred to Charleston, West Virginia for an autopsy.
Sinclair’s caregiver, Francis Charlene Moss Hopkins, 55, of Berryville, Va., has been arrested and charged with first degree murder in the death of Peggy Sinclair, according to a news release from Frederick County Sheriff Lenny Millholland.
