
Boies defeats incumbent Ordorff in Strasburg mayoral election

Brandy Hawkins Boies is the new mayor of Strasburg.
Unofficial results from Tuesday’s town elections show Mayor Rich Orndorff Jr. has not been reelected.
Brandy Hawkins Boies received 478 votes to Orndorff’s 111 to win the election. Mayoral candidate Donald LeVine received 391 votes whereas candidate Ray Lough received 104 votes.
The election also decided who will fill the four town council seats up for grabs.
Paul Weaver received 699 votes, Dane Hooser received 659 votes, Doreen Pauley Ricard received 646 votes and Christie Monahan received 645 votes. Robert “Bob” Baker was the fifth candidate vying for a council position, but he only received 523 votes.
