C-CAP and Department of Social Services to distribute drive-by food
C-CAP and the Department of Social Services have teamed up to provide drive-by food starting April 1. After C-CAP had to temporarily suspend operations last Thursday, there was immediate interest in finding an alternative way to supply food to the community. Beginning next Wednesday, DSS and C-CAP teams will offer drive-by food bags at the 15th Street School Campus near the DSS offices from 9 a.m. until noon. The food will be available to all currently eligible C-CAP clients. New applicants are encouraged to sign up on the first day.
Many details have yet to be confirmed. DSS and C-CAP have asked the public to help spread the word and to keep an eye out for new details between now and next Wednesday. We here at The River 95.3 will bring you this information as it comes.
