C-CAP’s President Thanks the community for their support

Front Royal Warren County Congregational Community Action Project (C-CAP) President Larry Elliott by email thanked the community for this year’s support of the Camping For Hunger Campaign.

The week long campaign wrapped up Sat. Nov. 19 at the Royal Plaza Shopping Center.

Elliott went on to add that this year’s cash to food pounds ratio may be the most value ever taken in.

Monetary donations offer C-CAP the added value of flexibility for their clients.

Elliott called the 14 annual Camping For Hunger campaign a terrific week and will allow C-CAP to get to next November with better ability to serve more clients more often.

All donations go directly to C-CAP of Front Royal Warren County with the monetary donations enabling the organization to provide 40,000 meals and cover six months of supporting local people in need.

The River 953 Fox Sports Radio 1450 owner and President Andrew Shearer by email said he is humbled by the community support of the yearly campaign.

Shearer noted that since 2008 the community has contributed over 190,000 pounds of food and nearly $125,000.

Monetary donations can still be offered at ourccap.org to the 501-c3 nonprofit with a link here.

The final figures for this year’s Camping For Hunger will be available Nov. 23 with C-CAP Executive Director Joanne Koszyk at 8:30 a.m. on the River 953 and Fox Sports Radio 1450.
