Camping for Hunger and other ways to help the hungry

It is projected by the website Feeding America that almost 800,000 people will go without food in Virginia over 200,000 of those are children.

One way to help the almost 4,000 of those in Warren County is through Camping for Hunger which supports Congregational Community Action Project (C-Cap) and their efforts in helping the hungry.

Donations of non-perishable food items and monetary donations are being accepted for Camping for Hunger through Nov. 20.

If you are unable to donate volunteering is another way to support those who might go hungry.

There are so many opportunities for those who wish to help out their friends and neighbors where you live.

Visit the Feeding America website for more on helping the hungry and again thank you.
