Car Strikes, Kills Pedestrian in Front Royal
One person has died after a vehicle accident in Front Royal that involved a pedestrian.
Front Royal Police responded to South Street at 10:28 p.m. on Thursday (6/6/2019). According to police, 75-year-old Herman Melvin Vhos was driving his 2019 Buick westbound there when he struck Ethel Elaine Blackwell as she was crossing at the intersection of Acton Street. The 65-year-old Front Royal resident was pronounced dead at the scene by medics. Front Royal Police Chief Khale Magalis said in a release that the incident remains under investigation.
