CCSO and Stephens City investigate fuel thefts

The Clarke County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) reports the investigation of the theft of more than $12,000 worth of fuel.
Either credit card or default access code numbers were used for several diesel fuel pumps to steal the fuel between 2:30 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. on Mar. 6.
In those incidents the vehicles involved included a white tractor trailer with a blue stripe and ghost graphics.
It appears the identifying information was removed from that vehicle.
Other vehicles involved included a white dually pick up truck with a flatbed trailer another seen in video footage is a blue tractor trailer with a white trailer with tags not visible on any of the vehicles.

The Stephens City Police Department (SCPD) is also investigating a similar incident on Mar.13.
