CCVWP collects school supplies for The Laurel Center

Clarke County’s Victim Witness Program is collecting school supplies through the end of October to show support for Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

All donations will benefit The Laurel Center to support families in need.

Last week, the Clarke County Fair made a donation of $1,000 to help pay for school lunches in addition to supplies donated from members of the fair.

You can help by visiting their drop-off box which is located in the Clarke County Circuit Court Lobby.

Some of the items recommended include:

  • gift cards (Target, Walmart, Amazon, Aldi)
  • lunch boxes
  • flash drives
  • Ziploc bags
  • notebooks
  • writing utensils
  • backpacks

The Victim Witness Program is also located in the Circuit Court building, and they work to ensure all crime victims and witnesses are treated with dignity and respect as well as receive fair and compassionate treatment when participating in the criminal justice system.
