Christendom to cancel classes to attend March for Life
Christendom College will cancel classes and close administrative offices on Friday, Jan. 24, to attend the 47th annual March for Life in Washington, D.C.
Christendom is the only college formally sponsoring the 2020 March for Life, and is chartering buses so students and staff can attend free of cost. Since its founding, Christendom has cancelled classes in observance of this annual event and has lead the March on four occasions – in 1984, 1998, 2009, and 2012.
The March for Life is an annual rally peacefully protesting both the practice and legality of abortion. It is held in Washington, D.C. on or around the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, a landmark decision issued in 1973 by the United States Supreme Court decriminalizing abortion.
