Clarke County 7-Eleven Robbed

11 June 2018 News

A Clarke County 7-Eleven was robbed early this morning (6/11/18).

The Clarke County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call informing them of the crime, which took place at around 3 a.m. at a store on Harry Byrd Highway. According to their report, the robber was a black male wearing all black clothes and a white scarf across his face. He demanded money from the clerk and claimed to have a weapon, although no actual weapon was displayed. The suspect then left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and ran in a westerly direction.

Authorities have found evidence that indicates there may have been a getaway vehicle parked along the shoulder of Harry Byrd Highway that the suspect used to escape. Anyone with further information on this incident is asked to contact Investigator Allen Mason at (540) 955-1234.
