Last week the Clarke County Board of Supervisors adopted a resolution further clarifying the county’s strong opposition to the proposed Valley Link Transmission Project: A joint venture between Dominion Energy, First Energy Transmission, and Transource Energy which proposed a new seven hundred sixty five kilovolts electrical transmission line between Putnam County, West Virginia and Frederick County, Maryland. This follows their initial resolution and funding commitment to fight the massive 150-to-200-foot power line infrastructure proposed by developers to serve areas outside of Clarke County.
