Clarke County Homicide Suspect Appears in Court

The suspect in a March 17, 2019 Clarke County homicide appeared in Clarke County General District Court this morning (4/10/2019).

50-year-old Dale Lee Wright of Charles Town, West Virginia, was arrested by authorities in relation to the death of 72-year-old Loudoun County resident Jeffrey B. Evans. Wright is accused of shooting Evans during a pre-arranged business transaction in a lot off of Castleman Road, and multiple witnesses reported seeing him in the area that morning. Two of the charges against Wright, 1st degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, have been continued to May, 2019. The charge of possession of a firearm by a nonviolent felon was dropped.
