Coldest Night of the Year walks through Winchester

watts donation

WATTS Thermal Shelter is participating in the Coldest Night of the Year Walk today starting at 4 pm.

The fundraiser began in Canada in 2011 and has since raised $55 million to support homeless individuals through local charities.

This is the first year WATTS has brought the program to Winchester which hopes to become an annual event.

The walk is held in the cold winter weather to help people step out of their comfort zone and understand what it may feel like to be homeless during this time of year.

Individuals or teams are invited to participate in a 2k or 5k loop within Winchester’s City limits starting at Braddock Street United Methodist Church.
