Crews Put Out Half-Acre Frederick County Fire
First responders battled a half-acre fire in Frederick County early this week.
Three fire companies and the Department of Forestry responded to reports of the blaze at 1 p.m. on Monday (3/28/2019). The fire was reported to be in a rural area on Stony Hill Road, and fire units had to navigate a nearly 2 mile driveway to find it. They were able to quickly subdue the fire when they arrived, with a brush patrol unit performing saw work to remove snags and take care of burned trees in the area. The incident was resolved with no reported injuries.
