Curbside recycling ends in Stephens City
2 July 2020 Frederick County News
The Town of Stephens City will no longer offer curbside recycling services. The town’s trash and recycling contract with American Disposal Services expired this week.
Trash disposal for the town will now be handled by Waste Management and the new contract does not include recycling. Residents will be given one trash can, free of charge. The trash cans come in 64 and 96 gallon sizes. Additional cans may be rented through the town office for a monthly fee of $1. Weekly trash pickup will take place every Wednesday.
Residents who wish to recycle can take items to one of Frederick County’s citizens’ convenience centers, such as the one in Middletown at 6671 Valley Pike.
