DEA’s National Drug Take Back Day is Saturday Oct. 28

This Saturday is the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) National Drug Take Back Day.

Twice yearly the DEA and law enforcement nationwide offer opportunities to properly dispose of outdated, unused, or unwanted prescription medications in a safe convenient and proper way.

This not only helps to prevent the drugs from polluting the environment but prevents the medications from falling into the wrong hands.

Law enforcement across the region offer collection services from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with drop off locations listed at this location using your zip code.

The next opportunity to dispose of medications properly is in April.

Any medications can be dropped off anonymously with no questions asked.
