Delay Requested for Warren EDA Director’s Trial

5 October 2018 News

A delay has been requested in the upcoming trial of the Front Royal/Warren County Economic Development Authority’s Executive Director, Jennifer McDonald.

McDonald was originally set to appear in the Warren County General District Court on October 31st to answer to charges that she filed a false police report in June of last year; the criminal complaint states that she spoke about the incident she reported with another unidentified individual before it was supposed to have happened in her account to police. Now, Commonwealth Attorney Brian Madden is saying that he needs a later trial date because a critical witness, former Front Royal Town Manager Michael Graham, will be unable to appear on the 31st due to upcoming travel plans. A judge reviewed the motion for continuance on Tuesday, and the commonwealth and the defense are working toward a consensus on a new date.
