Driver Collides with Parked Truck on I-81

SHENANDOAH COUNTY – Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash in Shenandoah County.
Sierra K.V Aceto was traveling south on Interstate 81 late in the morning of Sept. 29. She lost control of her 2005 Volvo V-70 and ran off the roadway towards the right hand shoulder. A 2007 Chevy Silverado was parked in the shoulder in a marked work zone with its amber lights activated. The Volvo collided with the truck and stopped.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts. Aceto, a 23 year-old Chantilly native died at the scene as a result of her injuries. The driver of the Chevy was uninjured in the crash.
