Driver Dies Before Accident in Winchester

WINCHESTER – A driver passed away in his vehicle before it rear-ended a truck near the Walmart in Winchester.
Norman Robert Anderson was heading up U.S Route 50, just outside of Walmart Dr., when medical condition caused his heart to stop. His vehicle continued towards the intersection and rear-ended a truck in front of him that was stopped at the stoplight. When the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office arrived it was determined that Anderson had no pulse. He was also stuck in his Chevrolet Cobalt.
Anderson was shortly transported to Winchester Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. He was 92 years old.
The medical condition that led to Anderson’s death and the accident is currently unknown.
