Driver runs from fatal crash in Hagerstown

Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal crash from Sunday morning at 4:12 am that occurred along a stretch of Greencastle Pike north of U.S. 40 and south of Bradfording Road.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a blue Honda Civic that had drove off the road for an unknown reason and hit a fence.
The driver from Williamsport originally fled from the scene on foot before being found by police.
His identity is being withheld as the investigation attempts to determine if the driver committed any crimes.
The passenger, Anthony Matthew Ruff, 23, of Frederick, Maryland, was pronounced dead at the scene.
